I love your recent hair dying tutorial, but I have a question for you. My hair is currently purple, and it's since it's fading out, I'd like to change my color. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to strip out my color so I can start over with something new?

:( That’s a tough one. It really depends on how light/dark your current color is.

The best thing to do with out completely stripping and messing up your hair is to wash it constantly with warm/hot water and moisturize until the color fades out completely.

This is probably the least damaging of methods.

You can also use a product called ‘one n only color fix’ but this one is a bit more tricky. It doesn’t actually strip your hair, it shrinks the color molecules. 2 problems:

1. you can’t use the “processing lotion” in the package. TOSS it! it has peroxide which will just make the color come right back out. (nobody knows why they put that in there)

2. You cannot bleach your hair until about a minimum of 1week after. you still have to wash and take care of your hair before redying it.

Color Fixer can work really really well if you just toss out the processing lotion.

Hope that helped!
