FOREVER HELLO KITTY

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Sanrio x Forever 21 launch of their new collaboration “Hello Kitty Forever”. I was able to get a very shaky video of the set up, but as we were trying to rush, it is shaky! The collection, was one of their bests to date. From fashion, to beauty, to decor, everything was covered. The limited collection has a huge color palette to satisfy monochrome lovers, pastel princesses, and neon party people. It also featured jewellery made by my good friend Onch, which sold out with in minutes! Many fans lined up early to get a chance to be a few of the firsts to buy the new items, meet Hello Kitty, and get their nails done!

The official Sanrio Cutie Crew: Emily, Ari, Sandy, and Julie.

Having thrown a few epic Sanrio Parties ourselves, Michelle and I were able to get VIP access and narrowly beat the crowd. This print is very VERSACE. There were alot of bows to Versace in this line.

Michelle got this Hangyodon sweater.

I appreciate all of the Hangyodon love from Sanrio. He is the oddest looking character but it gives him such charm!

The lime green accents and accessories were among my favourites from this line. Monochrom and Lime Green, the combination reminds me of my best friend Tess.

This was the scene 20minutes after opening their doors.

So many of the Chococat designs were very 1950’s inspired.

They had cute traditional pajama sets and a cute collared dress. Onch, Michelle, and myself.

Sandy was handing out buttons to all of the guests.

I really love the way her outfit was styled using various pieces from the collection. Chrissa also made an appearance! I love the leopard head wrap she was rocking.

So what did I end up buying? Nothing actually.

Not that I didn’t want many of the items, I am on a shopping hiatus at the moment.

I also really wanted the Badtz Maru body suit, however that is not yet released! I did try on a few things though:

First, and outfit shot! I decided to break out my Rainbow handkerchief WIDOW dress and Skeleton Heel booties for the occasion.

This shirt was probably my favourite. It had studs running along the shoulders and a cute print.

Here’s a detailed shot. It’s such a simple design but it worked really well.

Of course, being a Badtz Maru fan, I also tried on the jumper.

I really liked it, but when do you ever see me wearing sweaters…? I think if it was a cardigan I would have liked it more.

Michelle and I left pretty early, since it got extremely crowded. It was a fun night though!

Congrats to my bros at Sanrio USA and I hope those of you who weren’t able to go to the launch party, will still go check out the limited edition collection!

As with most Forever21 collections, it’s very easy on the wallet! The prices range from about $5.00 - $30.00 USD.

Have you guys already seen the look book? What items did you like most? I want to know!
